Terms and Conditions (“Terms”)

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using the https://omegacompetitions.com website (the “Service”) operated by Omega Competitions) (“us”, “we”, or “our”).

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

  1. Promoter

The promoter is: Omega Competitions Limited, Company Number NI669276 and whose registered office is at 5 Tummery houses, Dromore, Omagh, Co.Tyrone. BT783LP

  1. The competition

2.1 The terms and conditions as set out below apply to all of the competitions that are listed on omegacompetitions.com (the “Website”).

2.2 All competitions are skills based – Everyone that enters a listed competition on the Website (an “Entrant”) is required to correctly solve a problem or answer a question set by the Promoter (the “competition Question).

2.3 All competitions listed on the website are skill-based and an entry fee is applicable per entry. There is a fee-free entry method, details of which are included in clause 3.6 of these terms and conditions.

2.4 We reserve the right to change the opening and closing date on a competition if absolutely necessary,  and if there are any changes the new details will be displayed on the website.

2.5 We cannot be held responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage personal injury or death due to taking up the prize.

2.6 We reserve the right to rollover the competition if minimum entry numbers are not met within the competition duration. 

2.7 If the competition minimum entries are not met, we reserve the right to rollover the competition up to 4 times.

  1. How to enter

3.1 The competition will run from and to, including stated dates themselves, the opening and closing dates (“Opening Date” and “Closing Date” respectively) as specified on the Website. All dates and times referred to correspond to dates and times according to GMT.

3.2 Competition entries must be received by the Promoter no later than the time specified (GMT) on the Closing Date, or 48 hours before the Closing Date in the case of fee-free entries. Any and all entries received after the specified time on the Closing Date are automatically rejected and no refund(s) given.

3.3 Should it become necessary to do so, the Promoter reserves the right to alter either, or both, the Opening Date and Closing Date of a competition. If the dates are changed by the Promoter, the new dates will be displayed on the Website.

3.4 the number of entries permitted for the competition will be stated on the Website.  If the maximum number of competition entries is reached, the Entrant may be limited in the number of entries they can make.

3.5 To enter competitions:

(i) go to the Website and select the Competition you wish to enter;

(ii) complete then submit the entry from;

(iii) purchase the number of entries required (GBP);

(iv) on entry purchase, submit the answer to the Competition Question.

(v) Subject to availability, entries are limited to ten (10) per person.

3.6 A fee-free entry route is available by:

(i) Go to the Website and choose the completion you wish to enter

(ii) Send an unenclosed (just the postcard by itself) postcard to Omega Competitions, 5 Tummery houses, Dromore, Omagh, Co.Tyrone. BT783LP, with the following information:

(iii) The competition that you wish to enter;

(iv) Your full name and address;

(v) Your own email address and daytime telephone number;

(vi) Your date of birth;

(vii) Your answer to the Competition Question.

3.7 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FEE-FREE ENTRIES

(a) Fee-free entries are limited to one per person, per competition.

(b) Fee-free entries are treated as though they were paid entries and those that answer the Competition Question correctly have an equal chance of winning a prize.

(c) Entries made by the free route must be received by the Promoter a minimum of 48 hours before the competition Closing Date. Free entries received after this will not be processed.

(d) If the maximum number of entries for a competition has been reached before receipt of any free entries, these received entries will not be processed.

(e) it is the sole responsibility of the Entrant to make sure that entries are received by the Promoter a minimum of 48 hours before the Closing Date.

(g) any fee-free entry that does not comply with the entry requirement set out in 3.6 will be disqualified.

3.8 All competition entries must be in the English language. Any entries entered that are in any other language will be disqualified and no refund(s) given.

3.9 With the exception of fee-free entries, the Promoter will send confirmation of entry receipt and whether the Competition Question was answered correctly or not. 

3.10 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any competition entry or entries that do not complete successfully, are lost or are otherwise delayed. This includes but is not limited to causes such as postal delays, technical faults such as those that can occur to newtworks, software, hardware, systems, or satellites.

3.11 By the purchasing and submitting a completion entry (or multiples thereof), the Entrant is entering into a contract with the Promoter and is agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. By submitting a fee-free entry to a completion the Entrant is entering into a contract with the Promoter and is agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. Choosing a winner

All Entrants that answer the Competition Question correctly, and where that entry is received before the Closing Date (or 48 hours before the Closing Date in the case of fee-free entries) will placed into a draw where the winner will be drawn at random. This draw will take place as soon as is reasonably possible and within 7 days of the Closing Date (the “Draw Date”). 

 

  1. Eligibility

5.1 The Competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom and Ireland (unless otherwise stated in the details of the competition) that are aged 18 years or over, except:

(a) employees of the promoter;

(b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter that are connected with the Promoter in a professional capacity; or

(c) members of the households or immediate families of either (a) or (b) above.

5.2 By entering the competition, you confirm that you eligible to do so and you are eligible to make a claim of any prize won, in accordance with this clause 5.1. The Promoter may ask for proof of eligibility and any failure to do so in a reasonable time may result in disqualification.

5.4 The Promoter will not accept entries that are:

(a) generated by computer; or

(b) are incomplete

5.4 the Promoter reserve the right to disqualify an Entrants if that person’s conduct us contrary to the intention or spirit of the competition.

5.5 No refunds, in part or full, will be given in any circumstance, including:

(a) if, after competition entry, you discover that were not eligible to either enter the competition or claim a prize;

(b) if, after competition entry, the criteria for eligibility for entering or claiming a prize changes and means that an Entrant is no longer eligible; or

(c) you are disqualified from the competition by the Promoter, for any reason.

  1. The prize

6.1 The prize (the “Prize”) for a competition is described on the Website. These details are, to the best of the knowledge and belief of the Promoter, correct at the time of the Opening Date.

6.2 Prizes are subject to availability. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value. The Website will be updated with details of any change as soon as is reasonably possible.

6.3 The Promoter makes no representations nor gives any warranties about the Prize, its condition or value or any other information given on the Website about the Prize.

6.4 The prize may be provided by a 3rd party supplier (the “Supplier”). Details of the Supplier (if there is a 3rd party Supplier) will be provided on the Website.

6.5 The Prize is non-negotiable and there is no cash alternative.

  1. Winners

7.1 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

7.2 the Promoter endeavours to notify the winner as soon as is reasonably possible after the Draw Date. Should the winner not be available, cannot be contacted or has not claimed the Prize within 14 days of the Draw Date then the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next elegible Entrant selected.

7.3 the Promoter must make available or publish details that indicate a valid award has taken place. In compliance with this, the Promoter will provide the surname and county of major Prize winners to anybody who writes to the address given in clause 1 (and encloses as self-addressed envelope). Such requests must be made within a month of the Closing Date of that competition.

7.4 Any Entrant that objects to the county and surname being made available should contact the Promoter before the Closing Date. However, it should be remembered that the Promoter will still have to provide such information to the Advertising Standards Authority, on request.

  1. Claiming the Prize

8.1 The Prize must be claimed by the Entrant personally and it may not be claimed by anybody else on your behalf.

8.2 should the personal details of the Entrant, this includes contact information, change then the Entrant notify the Promoter as soon as is reasonably possible. Notification should be sent to the promoter via the email address given in Clause 1.

8.3 The Promoter accepts no responsibility and is not liable to pay any compensation to an Entrant should they not take up the Prize or they are not able to.

Purchases

If you wish to purchase any product or service made available through the Service (“Purchase”), you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your Purchase including, without limitation, your full name, address, email address and phone number.

Content

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material (“Content”).

Links To Other Web Sites

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Omega Competitions.

Omega Competitions has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Omega Competitions shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
